I'm the founder and CCC (Chief Content Creator) of LGBTQ Theology. I am a proud student at Moravian Theological Seminary, working on Masters degrees in Clinical Counseling and Theological Studies. I am passionate about Jesus, the Bible, pastoral theology, mental health, spiritual formation and the pursuit of wholeness from a trauma-informed and spiritually integrated psychotherapy approach.
My Christian experience spans non-denominational Evangelicalism, Mainline Protestantism (Presbyterian, Baptist, Moravian and UCC), and the Charismatic Renewal Movement. My personal walk with Christ has wound through paths of shame, doubt, and inner conflict that inevitably come from growing up in the 90's as a queer kid. However, unlike many LGBTQ folks who grew up in conservative Christian homes and have since decided that their lives are better off without religion, I haven't been able to walk away from my faith. In spite of having plenty of reasons to be angry, bitter and thoroughly fed up with all the religiosity and churchy BS, I've have too many life-changing experience with the Divine presence of God to not believe and call myself a follower of Jesus. And so I wrestle with God and God's Word like Jacob wrestled with the angle in the night.
The content of this site is the ongoing fruit of this wrestling. My prayer is that wherever you find yourself in life's journey, there is something on this site that touches your soul, provokes you to wrestle in your own personal growth and imparts to you renewed vision of the glory and beauty of Jesus who has made known to the cosmos Love Divine.
